As we pulled up into the modern structure of Fashion Square Mall’s parking garage, the world suddenly became a bit more shiny. My tires squeaked with every gentle turn on the polished floor. Sleek, exotic cars surround us in all kinds of vibrant colors and… are those hanging flower baskets? Hmmm… fancy.
Noah:
Oh Wow! Look Mommy! That red car looks like one of my HotWheels!
“Oh yeah! Cool buddy! You found us a parking spot.
I slide my pearl white mini *cough* van *ahem.*
Ok. Yes. I said minivan. Never thought I would drive one, but with the kiddos and all, truthfully, I LOVE it! Can’t picture driving anything else. We call it “the limo” :)) now, tell me that’s not cool 😉 ?
…we can’t all fit in our Ferrari anyway… 😉
It takes us a good 10min to move on, unbuckle, unload the stroller, grab the baby bag, my purse…
“Great. Where is Auroras sippy cup? Ok, no, stop. What did we talk about? You sat in chocolate?? Really guys? Remember, we stick together.”
It’s hot. 107…hmm. You would think this fancy parking garage would have AC.
“Alright, lets go!”
Noah and Aurora chatter away as we walk toward the entrance, Juliette is sleeping contently in her stroller…
“But you know what the fastest car out there is though, right?
Noah asks Rory, completely oblivious to the fact that she’s going on about her ponytail…
“…an RV!”
The hubs and I exchange a look over their heads and smile but it’s not long before laughter bounces off the walls and echoes all around us.
The automatic doors open and a cool burst of AC greets us. That’s better.
Lets back track just a bit…
   So I follow quite a few bloggers from motherhood, fashion, beauty, you name it! I looove being able to read up on some of their experiences and relate on some issues in life or pick up a few tips and tricks on style and makeup here and there. You guys, inside and out, these ladies are beautiful. Like wow.
So the big Shazam lately is:
The Big Nordstrom Sale!!!
YAAAAAY!!!
Ok, so honestly, I never go to Nordstrom.
1. I have 3 small children (shopping? – right).
2. It’s expensive.
3. It’s far.
I’ve never been to any of their sales and with all the talk about it, I’m downright curious!

“Ok gang, follow me..
Let’s just walk around and browse for now…”
“Ohhhh pretty… smell that?”
We pass the perfume station and a lovely lady is sharing a scent as we walk by. *Squirt* Â Â 
“Gross!”
Noah says a bit to loudly while smacking his lips together and his little button nose scrunches up..
“That does not taste good!”
“Wellll, keep your mouth closed sweetie. (please ?)”
We pass the shoes… wow.
The purses… wow. (Of course , my girly girl Rory forgets all about our no touch rule and flings a sparkling purse onto her forearm. Hmm, she’s got good taste.
Love these shoes!!! Oh, score!! They are on sale! $400! Wait… what? ? That’s got to be the original price. Oh. Um. No, that’s the sale price. Hmmm, I gingerly place those heals back, haha… moving on…
So there is no denying that NS has some beautiful things. I mean, I walked out of that store loaded with bags and bags! Haha, not really. I actually didn’t get anything! I’m not gonna lie, there was some pretty amazing pieces there and though there were a few sale items that I thought were great, just didn’t catch anything I was crazy about this time.
So here’s the scoop! I’m not a fan of clutter, and other than having a closet overflowing with things that you’re “eh” about, I totally encourage having a few “key pieces” in your wardrobe that you TOTALLY LOVE, even if you have to pay a bit more for them.
I love fashion, but even more, I love what looks good on me, not necessarily what’s “in season” right now. Sure, the trends will change, but what is beautiful will always be beautiful.
Anyway, all and all, we had a blast window shopping, trying on hats and snapping pics! Got to pop into the fitting room and tried on a few fun pieces while the hubs hung out the the kiddos!
 It was a fun night 🙂
